I've been terrible about updating this week. Between my uncle dying and my trip to Charlotte, I haven't had a lot of extra time. I'm headed back to Charlotte tomorrow too.
One quick story to pull a few recent posts together. Colin's started freaking out less about the thunder, thank goodness. But in telling the boys about Uncle Harry, Colin then asked if this means he is an angel now. My mom told him yes so now Colin knows that it's just Uncle Harry bowling when it's thundering. A silver lining there.
The boys all handled my uncle's death fine, even going to the funeral. I really wanted them to experience this - death isn't something I want to talk to them about all the time, but I don't want to shield them when it happens either. They took everything quite well. Aidan pointed out that 55 was too young to die. It sure is, buddy. And Colin asked how many people we have left in our family now. That made me smile. :)
