I have a few good stories but they are better with the pictures that I've yet to upload. I also need to post the "Family Resolutions" that the boys are currently mulling over. (Hint at how that is going: it IS NOT OK to make a resolution to play the Wii for an hour a day, as Aidan suggested. It IS OK to make a resolution to only play the Wii when they've picked up the playroom, as was my thought.)
One of the to-be-posted stories made me think of an oldie that is worth sharing though.
A couple of years ago, Joe came home late from a game. He went to check on the boys - I would guess Aidan was 3 1/2 and Colin was 2...
Oh wait - I just remembered I had an email saved on this - something Joe sent out to his friends. It turns out it happened a day before Colin turned 2. The email is entitled "Parenting 101" - and here is a cut & paste for an easy blog post!

Evidently I missed this course. I just wanted to give all of you some valuable advice regarding parenting. It is always said that you should learn from your mistakes and pass it on to the less sophisticated (i.e. you)...
OK, enough with the banter. Last night I came home late from a game. As I usually do, I went into the kids rooms to check on them. Last night I walked into Aidan's room and in the dark I saw a silhouette of a stuffed animal on the floor. I kicked the stuffed animal aside, as it was in my path, and the stuffed animal began to cry. This freaked me out, but yes it was no stuffed animal. It was my youngest son sleeping on his brother's floor. I felt like an ass! Needless to say, I will be picking up "stuffed animals" or stepping over "stuffed animals" when I come across them in the dark in the future.
I hope you all learn from my mistake. I am telling you this also because I told Alyssa of it last night when she was half asleep. I said to her that she probably will not remember because she was half asleep. To which she replied, "You just gave our 2 year-old a kick in the ribs and you do not expect me to remember?" So with that in mind, I wanted to come clean to you all before she started to distort the truth...guys, you know how wives can be. Well, I have to go now the people from "Child Services" just pulled in the driveway in their van !
