I had a rough Sunday with the boys and took their toys away due to absolute refusal to clean up after themselves (stop me if you’ve heard that before) and I also I put them to bed early…in separate rooms. Aidan came downstairs sobbing about 20 minutes later.
A: “I need to go into my room, I need to be with Colin. He’s like my teddy bear, I can’t sleep without him.”
It’s true. There are two beds in their shared room (and an extra bedroom that I opted to leave as a guest room, since I knew they’d rather share) but yet they are always huddled sound asleep together in a twin. I can assure you even with their small size this does not look particularly comfortable. Alas, since Colin was already asleep and they wouldn’t be fooling around, I let Aidan go have his “security blanket.” Me=softie.
Aidan’s got his first sleepover party at someone else’s house on Friday. What are the odds of him waking up looking for Colin? Can you bring a little brother as your security item to a party? This should be interesting….
