I begged Colin to let me take it out, but he refused any help. Friday night I told him we should get it out for fear of him swallowing it. He ran away.
Flash forward to Sunday morning. We're leaving soccer (Seamus managed to play about 7 minutes, we're making progress) when Colin discovers the tooth has vacated the premises. No idea where or when. A search of his bed also turned up nothing. Thankfully, the Tooth Fairy decided to believe him...just like she believed me when I had my first tooth fall out over a balcony, never to be found.
There is not quite the usual gap there, on account of the fact he's got a fully grown adult tooth already in place!
Since Aidan and Colin insist on sleeping in the same bed, Joe thought this was a good time to try to get them apart. He made the argument that this was necessary since the Tooth Fairy wouldn't know whose pillow to leave money under. But Colin had a solution: "I'll just sleep with my mouth open."
Brilliant.
