Yesterday was a big day. Joe left for FLETC and the Red Sox opened the MLB season in Japan. Which was the bigger deal? I'm not saying. :) I will say that it also means the start of my Fantasy Baseball season, and Joe is surely happy to not have to listen to me go on and on about that. (I will say thanks to Papelbon for getting a save and c'mon Tek - 0 pts in 2 games ain't going to keep you on my active roster, much as I love you.) And for the record, yes I got up and watched both mornings.
Anyway...the first 24 hours of a Daddy-free home were not without incident. The boys are generally very healthy kids. They really don't get sick too often. Except, of course, on the day Daddy leaves for 3 months. 86 days. Whatever it is. Who's counting?
I went to pick up Seamus and Colin at school yesterday only to be told Shea has a fever and can't come back until he is 24 hours fever-free. Now mind you, they noticed the fever at 1pm and didn't think he was sick enough to have to go home. So, anyway...I rearrange my Wednesday schedule...which works out just fine since Aidan wakes up this morning moaning that he's sick too. After we brought Colin to school, Aidan went back to bed and slept until noon...so me thinks he wasn't faking. Seamus is fine, just a little runny nose.
I'm taking all good thoughts they are healthy enough to go to school tomorrow...
