Skiing - aka, Very Expensive Babysitting

A few days after Christmas, our friends invited us to their new house a Loon. I was very non-commital to the boys taking skiing lessons, since I thought the younger two would not want to since a.) it's outside and b.) it's cold outside. We went up late in the afternoon and they tried on their friend's skis, we got walked them up a few steps on the mountain and they liked trying it. So, I sucked it up and signed them up for lessons. Expensive lessons.

Aidan was never in question - he's been dying to learn to snowboard. He was very excited to try it out and indeed he loved it.

Here is a video:

Colin actually tried a little harder than I would have expected. Still, he talked the teachers out of him going back out for the second part of the day. Guh-reat!

Seamus. I never managed to see him on skis at all, which begs the question did it ever even happen? I am still unclear. All I do know is that he convinced the staff he was "too busy" to go back out after the first time. He did, however, enjoy making snow angels...

At least Joe and I got to go to lunch without the boys and then hit the lodge for happy hour before picking them up.....
