Musings on a Monday

Some things that I've witnessed today that made me say hmph.

• If you weigh somewhere around 250 lbs and decide you can pull off the short skirt and fishnet look in a business environment, all power to you. Just please, don't sit like a truck driver.
• Even if you've earned the title of "Dr" and have embarked on some very solid professional ventures that make you a compeling speaker - I'm not going to take you that seriously if you wear Tevas with your suit.
• If you're at a conference all about business-to-business lead generation and you decide to make small talk with the person you happened to sit next to, do you not have it in you to make better small talk than, "So...do you do lead generation?"
• If you're not supposed to smoke when you're pumping gas...is there an exemption if you're a full serve gas attendant? I didn't think so either.
