You know, the kid who stands on the soccer field and doesn't move? Sulks? Pouts? Generally acts as a orange cone, only bigger and more in the way?
Yep, that's the Shea-man.
He is SO not himself out there. Going to the field, leaving the field, at home...he's generally quite excited and chatty about soccer. The second we get there? He's a totally different kid.
Have you ever been around a kid that you don't know well, and the parent comments that the kid is never like how they are at that moment - that they're fun, talkative, energetic, creative, etc. Me? I'm ususally thinking 'yeah, whatever...sure your kid is cool.' No way could I imagine a child could be that different from one situation to the next. Well, that is how Shea is with soccer. Lesson learned for me...and apologies to all kids who I've (silently) doubted over the years.

Don't know if you'll get this comment since the post was old, but I have one of those too. "Zella, go! Go after the ball! Run Zella!"
"But I'm tying grass together"
She lives in Zella-la-la land, and she is that kid out in right feild chasing the butterflies. *sigh*
