Coincidence?

It's parent/teacher conference time. Aidan's is tomorrow. I think you might want your child's teacher to tell you he's the worst kid ever, when you have a conference on April 1. :)

Colin's conference is on April 14. I mentioned this to him tonight. He said, "Oh, right. Because that is the day the Titantic sunk."

Yes, of course. We chose that date on purpose.

Ironically, I have a feeling the focus of this conference is how to snap Colin out of his current obsession of the Titantic and all other sunken ships out there (his new favorite book: Ghost Liners) since his constant daydreaming and drawing about these ocean liners is what is pulling him down in 1st grade.



PS - after I mentioned the April 14 date, I had to listen to several minutes of explanation about how the ship did not actually sink until April 15 at 2:20am in 1912. Awesome, little dude, thanks.
