"Seamus, Mommy's Not Happy"

Think Colin picked up on my mood today? I overheard him saying that, trying to help me put the little blonde devil in line as I was getting dinner ready. And believe me, he's heard enough of me scolding his little brother today.

I had my college friends up for brunch today, and Shea was out of control...mind you, he's usually active...but this was craziness on a whole 'nother level coupled with him not being very nice to the other kids...grabbing toys, pulling hair, etc. Oh, and when the girls and their kiddos showed up, they were treated to half-naked Seamus, as he decided he didn't care for his pants or diaper. Just like last night, when I came up to his room to check on him...and found a diaper in the hall and him snuggled up, fully pajama-d in his bed. I was thankful for the clue, versus the middle of the night disaster.

Shea also apparantly did just enough fooling around in the van yesterday - when I was trying to clean it of cheerios and wrapppers - that he killed the battery; when I went to drive Aidan to baseball the Sienna was not starting. Ok, deep breaths (and a call to Joe next door for help when he has time) - we'll cram into the Jetta. Which somehow has the child-proof locks turned off, test by the lovely J. Shea as I was driving down a curvy road. Twice. At baseball, he smacked Colin in the head with a ball. Twice.

Think Mommy had wine tonight? You bet. Twice.

At least he's cute, funny and loving when he wants to be. And silly. Here he was just before the aforementioned whacks to Colin's head.

Eesh. We're on our own (no Daddy) for a week, and that seems like a lot! I can't imagine 3 mos...

Who's visiting?
